Gifted and Talented Referrals

The deadline for gifted and talented referrals for the 2015-2016 school year is May 1, 2015. All forms must be received by 4:00 p.m. Referral forms and information can be located at http://www.lovejoyisd.net/MP.cfm?P=2915. Parents, teachers, or other staff members may nominate a student. Students may also self-nominate. 

 

**5th grade parents- – If your child is currently in GT Language Arts and GT Social Studies and would like to test for Science, then you need to complete a referral.

REMINDER: LGA Senior Scholarship Applications due May 1

The Lovejoy Gifted Association is now accepting applications for our annual Senior Scholarship.

All applicants must:

  • have attended LHS during their sophomore, junior and senior years
  • be identified as GT
  • have completed at least one GT class during high school
  • have at least 1 parent that is a current LGA member, and has been a member for at least 2 years.

REMINDER: The LGA presents “Talent Development” April 15

The Lovejoy Gifted Association presents “Talent Development”  by Todd Kettler Ph.D., on Wednesday, April 15 at 7:00p.m. in the Lovejoy High School Lecture Hall.  Find out more about the nature of giftedness and the role of parents and families in developing talent and supporting giftedness. Dr. Kettler is an assistant professor at UNT and teaches courses in gifted education, creativity, and child development.
