Speaker: Fantastic Fossil Findings

Join John S. Mead — Passionate Biology Teacher, Origins Explorer & Nature Photographer — as he guides us through his exciting participation in Dr. Lee Berger’s scientific excavation of a new human species, Homo Naledi, from the Rising Star Cave in South Africa. This species of human ancestor is believed to be 900,000 to 2 million years old. The discovery of Homo Naledi is featured on the cover of the October 2015 National Geographic Magazine, and a current exhibit at the Perot Science Museum.
