Presentation on Gifted Talent Development
Wednesday, March 1 7-8pm
Lovejoy High School Lecture Hall
2350 Estates Parkway, Lucas, TX 75002.
The Talent Development Perspective is a new way of looking at giftedness based on the latest research and thinking in the field of Gifted Education. Talent Development sees giftedness as centered in a specific field, developed over time, and dependent upon non-cognitive skills, like interest, perseverance, and beliefs. This presentation will outline the main ideas of the Talent Development perspective, and then leave time for discussion with participants about what this new idea could mean for Gifted Education as a whole.
Free for Lovejoy Gifted Association members and their families
$5 per adult for non-LGA members — accompanying children/students are free
